Focus and Scope
The International Journal of Law and Social Science (IJLSS) adopts a broad, forward-looking, and intellectually ambitious approach to legal and social scholarship. Since its establishment, the Journal has been dedicated to advancing critical knowledge in law, Islamic studies, governance, and social sciences, with the aim of promoting justice, ethical development, and informed policy across diverse cultural and legal contexts—particularly in Pakistan, the Muslim world, and the global academic community.
IJLSS strives to become a leading platform for rigorous, interdisciplinary inquiry, encouraging research that bridges classical legal thought with contemporary realities. The Journal welcomes contributions that examine the evolving challenges of modern societies through the lenses of jurisprudence, comparative law, social science perspectives, and Sharia-based legal frameworks. Its commitment extends to fostering scholarship that illuminates societal transformation, legal reform, and the ethical foundations of governance.
The Journal regularly publishes articles addressing a wide spectrum of legal and social issues, including but not limited to: legal philosophy, Islamic jurisprudence, law and economics, comparative legal systems, criminology, human rights, justice and crime, gender perspectives in law, digital and cyber governance, socio-legal studies, political dimensions of law, environmental governance, and the intersection of law and culture in contemporary global dynamics.
With its expanding contributor base and steadily increasing academic recognition, IJLSS aspires to position itself among the region’s leading international journals. By upholding strict peer-review standards and academic integrity, the Journal continues to support high-quality scholarship that not only enriches academic discourse but also contributes to meaningful legal and social reforms at national and international levels.
