Copyright Policy

The International Journal of Law and Social Science (IJLSS) recognizes and respects the intellectual property rights of authors. The copyright of each published article is retained by the author(s), while the Journal is granted non-exclusive publishing rights to disseminate the work. All articles are published under the Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-ShareAlike 4.0 International License (CC BY-NC-SA 4.0).

This license allows readers and users to share, copy, redistribute, and adapt the material for non-commercial purposes, provided that proper attribution is given to the original author(s) and that any derivative works are distributed under the same license.

Authors Agree to the Following Terms:

1. Copyright Retention

Authors maintain ownership of the copyright to their work. By submitting and publishing in IJLSS, authors grant the Journal the right of first publication.

2. Licensing Agreement

Upon publication, the article is simultaneously licensed under CC BY-NC-SA 4.0, enabling others to:

  • Share the work non-commercially

  • Attribute the original authorship

  • Acknowledge the article’s first publication in IJLSS

  • Distribute adaptations under the same license

3. Additional Distribution Rights

Authors may enter into separate, non-exclusive agreements to distribute the published version of their work—for example:

  • Uploading it to institutional repositories

  • Including it in academic books

  • Sharing it on personal or professional websites

Such distribution must acknowledge its initial publication in IJLSS.

4. Preprint and Postprint Sharing

IJLSS encourages open scholarly communication. Authors are allowed and encouraged to:

  • Post their preprints (submitted versions)

  • Share postprints (accepted versions)

  • Deposit published versions in repositories

Doing so promotes constructive academic exchange and enhances citation potential, in accordance with open-access principles.
